An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your device. Unlike a traditional physical SIM card, an eSIM is programmed electronically, so you can activate a mobile plan without inserting any card. You simply scan a QR code or use an app to connect to a carrier’s network.
Most flagship smartphones released after 2018 support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and later. To check, go to Settings → General → About on iOS, or Settings → Connections → SIM Manager on Android. If you see an “Add eSIM” or “Add Mobile Plan” option, your device is compatible.
Yes! Most modern smartphones support Dual SIM, meaning you can use your physical SIM and an eSIM simultaneously. This is perfect for travellers — keep your home SIM active for calls and messages while using an eSIM data plan abroad to avoid roaming charges.

- Choose your destination and data plan from our store.
- Complete your purchase — you will receive a QR code by email instantly.
- On your device, go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM and scan the QR code.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to activate. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.
We recommend activating your eSIM before you travel so you are connected the moment you land.
You can install your eSIM on your device any time after purchase, but data usage only begins once you arrive in the destination country and your device connects to a local network. We recommend installing the eSIM at home so it is ready to go the moment you land.
Your eSIM QR code is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Once you activate it and connect to a local network, your data plan validity period begins (typically 7, 15, or 30 days depending on the plan you chose). Unused data does not roll over after the plan expires.
We offer eSIM plans for over 190 countries and regions worldwide, including regional multi-country plans for Europe, Asia, the Americas, and more. You can search for your destination using the search bar on our store page. Regional plans are a great option if you are visiting multiple countries on a single trip.
Once you exhaust your data allowance, data access will stop or slow to a very low speed (depending on the plan). You will not be charged automatically. You have the option to top up your plan or purchase a new eSIM for the same destination directly from your account dashboard.
Our eSIM plans are data-only. For calls and SMS while travelling, we recommend keeping your home SIM active in your device’s second SIM slot. You can then use internet-based apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Google Meet for voice and video calls over your eSIM data connection.
No, our eSIM plans are data-only and do not include a local phone number. Your existing mobile number from your home carrier remains active. If you need a local number, you can use VoIP apps such as Google Voice or Skype.
Here are the most common fixes:
- Check Data Roaming: Go to Settings → Mobile Data → your eSIM line, and make sure Data Roaming is switched on.
- Select the correct line: In your mobile data settings, ensure the eSIM line (not your home SIM) is selected for data.
- Restart your device: A simple restart often resolves connectivity issues.
- Check network manually: Go to Settings → Carrier and try selecting a local carrier manually.

No — each eSIM QR code is single-use and tied to one device. Once activated, it cannot be transferred to another device or reused after the plan expires. To get connected again, simply purchase a new eSIM plan from our store.
Unfortunately, once an eSIM is deleted from a device (including during a factory reset), the QR code cannot be scanned again for security reasons. If this happens, please contact our support team with your order details — in many cases we can issue a replacement eSIM at no extra charge, subject to our replacement policy.

No. Once the eSIM QR code and activation instructions have been delivered, a refund is no longer possible.
We do not receive confirmation from the network operator as to whether the eSIM has been scanned, added to a device, or activated. Therefore, after delivery of the QR code and setup details, the eSIM is considered issued and non-refundable.
